FAQ
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is BANNEDLISTS a background check or credit report?
No. BANNEDLISTS does not provide scores or recommendations. We display member-submitted incident records, with consent and dispute workflows. Members remain responsible for lawful use.
Who can join?
Rental businesses can create an account and complete automated verification. Access levels are tiered based on verification and membership.
What information is required for a record?
Full legal name, date of birth, address, government ID upload, reason category, and notes. A separate photo can be added optionally.
Can a record be deleted?
Records are not deleted to preserve audit integrity. They can be marked RESOLVED, and they can expire based on the reporting business’s settings and platform rules.
How are disputes handled?
Individuals can view and dispute records. The submitting business is required to respond and confirm, correct, or resolve the entry. All changes are versioned.
What if I find an error?
Use the dispute process (see the consumer page) or contact support. We’ll route it to the submitting business for required response.
